Funeral services for Daniel Parrie were held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Many Chapel with Brother Leon Manshack officiating; interment followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Daniel “Boone” Parrie was born November 20, 1950 in Shreveport to Walter Parrie and Fannie Marie (Remedies) Parrie and entered into rest on August 10, 2020 in Shreveport.
Preceding “Boone” in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Parrie; sister, Mary Cook; and his brother, Jody Parrie. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Valerie (Ezernack) Parrie; sons, Daniel Parrie Jr. and wife, Amanda of Many; Japhen Parrie and wife, Destiny of Zwolle; daughter, Michelle Quintero and husband, Fernando of Zwolle; sisters, Elise “Dots” Meshell of Ebarb; Elma “Tay” McTire of Keithville; Dixie Dozier and husband, David of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Maggie Meshell of Ebarb; brother, Walter Steve Parrie and wife, Mary of Amarillo, Texas. In addition, he also leaves behind his 13 grandchildren: Clayton, Elizabeth, Abbey, Keylee, Olivia, Isaac, Gaby, Isabella, Lilly, Marquise, Paighton, Laiken, and Kynlee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Honoring Daniel as pallbearers were Douglas Meshell, Sr., Howard “Chubby” Meshell, Herbert Ray Meshell, Kevin Meshell, Douglas Meshell, Jr., Robert Mc-Tire, James Stampley, and Chris Harley.
