He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mack Hayes, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Preston and Inez Vincent; father-in-law, Donald Durbin; and brother, Kendal Vincent.
Chad grew up in Many and attended grade school at Many Elementary and Many Jr. High School. He transferred to Natchitoches Central High in tenth grade and graduated in 1993. After graduation, Chad worked in the oilfield for a short time before serving a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He said these two years molded him into becoming the man he was. Upon returning from his mission, he entered college, pursuing a degree in Business Administration graduating from Nicholls State University in December of 2003. The following year in June, Chad married Donna Durbin in the Baton Rouge Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Into this eternal communion were born three beautiful children.
Chad worked as a process operator for Westlake Chemical from November 2004 until the time of his passing. Chad enjoyed his job and loved his work family.
Chad loved to golf, cook, vacation with family, and spend time with his extended family. But he found his greatest joy in his wife, children, and church service. He had the ability to share the message of Christ and His great plan of Happiness. He loved serving in the Baton Rouge Temple and serving in humanitarian aid programs of the church. He was a high priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had many leadership positions. He was always willing to take time to help and serve others.
