Funeral services for Kathy McComic, 71, of Belmont, were held on November 27, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Leach, Sr. and Rev. Tim Leach officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Kathy Lorraine McComic was born on Monday, July 19, 1948 in Many. She passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 in Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Freeman, Sr. and Rosa (Knippers) Freeman; and grandson, Caleb List.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard McComic, Sr. of Belmont; three daughters, Carol List and husband James of Springhill, Louisiana, Linda Dockens and husband Dewayne of Many, and Helen McDonald and husband R. W. of Converse; son, Mark McComic of Many; sisters, Jo Ann McComic of Keithville, and Dorothy Goodman of Anacoco; brother, Buddy Freeman and wife Bonnie of Anacoco; five grandchildren, Haleigh Dockens, Colby Dockens, Tara Dockens, Elijah List and Chance McDonald; one great grandson, Kaden Strickland; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers: James List, Dewayne Dockens, R. W. McDonald, Jeremy McComic, Elijah List, Colby Dockens, Chance Mc-Donald, Scott Leach, Jeremy Leach and Ryan Freeman.
Honorary Pallbearers: Cliff Starks, Jr., Greg McComic and Kaden Strickland.
