A funeral service celebrating the life of Robert Lee Dickerson, 77 of Benton, was held July 12 at New Freedom Fellowship Church with the Rev. Dean Hillman officiating. Interment followed in New Freedom Fellowship Cemetery.
Robert was born on December 31, 1941 in Shreveport to Arthur and Lena Dickerson, and passed away July 10, 2019 in Bossier City.
During his life, Mr. Dickerson worked numerous maintenance jobs at various businesses in and around the Toledo Bend Lake area. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed what he did for employment.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lena Dickerson; and brothers, Leroy, Don, and Glen Dickerson.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leola Sepulvado Dickerson of Benton; sons, Jason Dickerson and Stacey Adams of Haughton, and Robert S. Dickerson of Zwolle; daughter, Connie Dickerson Ammons of Shreveport; brothers, Richard and Joe Dickerson both of Shreveport; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Honoring Mr. Dickerson as pallbearers were Jonathan Ammons, Clayton Dickerson, Dimitri Sepulvado, Lane Bush, Jimi Durmon, and Wilbert Sepulvado. Honorary pallbearers were Landon Dickerson, and Darryl Sepulvado.
