Funeral services for Hubert Weldon Montgomery were held May 24 at Carson Baptist Church in Zwolle with Bros. Dan Racca and Jeff Feibel officiating; followed with interment at Bayou Scie United Methodist Cemetery.
Weldon was born March 6, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Cloyd Montgomery and Elaine Roberson and entered into rest on May 22, 2019 in Zwolle. He was a member of Carson Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign War.
Weldon went to Zwolle Elementary and Zwolle High School. He joined the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked a few jobs before taking saw filing at the trade school where he obtained his most rewarding achievement. He loved his occupation of saw filing. He loved his church and his church family.
Weldon purchased his Harley-Davidson in 2011 and joined the Noble Sons Riding Club to be with his brothers; he truly enjoyed this fellowship with his biker buddies. He loved his big family and when the boys and their families came to visit. He was not big on visiting but loved when people came to see him.
Weldon is survived by his wife, Marie Bass Montgomery; sons, Jason Montgomery and wife Regina of Zwolle and Brian Montgomery and wife Mandy of Bossier City; along with 11 grandchildren, one grandson-in-law, one grand-daughter-in-law, and one great granddaughter; brothers, Ronnie Brummerloh and wife Patsy of Zwolle, Lynn Montgomery and wife Donna of Noble, Tracy Elliott and Shannon of Noble, and Roger and Eldon; sisters, Carol Rivers and husband Benji of Noble, Debbie Rutherford of Noble, Sharon, Janice, Brenda, Linda, and Jo; father, Joe Juzan; special adopted family, Billy and Tammy Dybas along with their children, and also a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding Weldon in death were his grandparents, Robert and Carrie Roberson; mother, Elaine Juzan; father, Cloyd Montgomery; his nephews, Anthony Sepulvado and Scottie Brummerloh; niece, Heather R. Sepulvado; and a special friend, Charles Britt.
Honoring him as pallbearers were Gary Lee, Doug Sepulvado, Josh Elliott, Bill Dybas, Chip Ebarb, and Dillon Etheridge.
