Sabine Parish County Agent Chris Pearce has been named Wildlife Conservation Educator of the Year for 2019.
Pearce, along with other honors, were presented their awards at the 55th Governor’s State Conservation Awards banquet on April 27 in Baton Rouge.
Other winners included: Katherine Gividen, Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year; Sherrill James Sagrera, Volunteer Conservationist of the Year; Audubon Nature Institute Youth Volunteer Corps, Youth Conservationists of the Year; CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Corporate Conservationist of the Year; Senator Dan W. “Blade” Morrish, Conservationist of the Year (Elected Official); The Baton Rouge Zoo FrogWatch, Conservation Organization of the Year; and Kynlee Buras and Evan Alderson, Youth Hunters of the Year.
