Funeral services for CoDan DeWayne “Cody” Meshell, 31, of Florien was held May 15 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Toro Community with the Reverends Buddy Freeman and Robert Leone officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery.
Cody was born on Saturday, May 7, 1988 in Many, and passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home in Florien.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Meshell; niece, Faithlynn Meshell; grandfathers, Herbert Meshell and Charlie Pugh; uncle, David Pugh.
He is survived by his daughters, Makenzi Meshell of Spokane, Washington, Addison Meshell of Spokane, Washington, and Lexie King of Pleasant Hill; father, Howard “Chubby” Meshell and Kathy Birdwell of Zwolle; sisters, Jessica Watson and husband John of Converse, Crystal Meshell of Florien, and Melissa Meshell of Many; grandmothers, Dots Meshell of Ebarb, and Marlene Pugh of Florien; nephews, DaShaun Meshell, Detrez Thomas, Jr., Isaiah Meshell and Dylan Watson; niece, Samantha Watson; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Douglas Meshell, Jr., Douglas Meshell, Sr., Tyler Meshell, Cleve Rodrigues, Jonathan Meshell and Ethan Meshell.
Honorary Pallbearers were DaShaun Meshell, Detrez Thomas, Jr., Isaiah Meshell, Dylan Watson, John Watson, Herbert Ray Meshell and Kevin Meshell.
