Rita Raye Bozeman, 79 of Belmont passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019, after a short stay in the hospital. She was surrounded by loved ones in her last hours who were by her side to bid a last farewell.
Funeral services were held March 22 at Bethel Congregational Methodist Church in Ajax with the Reverends Brian Jennings and Glen Howard officiating.
Rita was born on Wednesday, February 21, 1940 in Shreveport, and passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, Raymond Alvin Findley Sr and Mayfalda Angele Carter Findley; and brother, Raymond Alvin Findley Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Ray Bozeman of Belmont; sons, Ross Bozeman of Houston, Texas and Lloyd Bozeman of Houston, Texas; brother, Ralph Lawrence Findley of Shreveport; grandchildren, Derek Bozeman, Deana Bozeman, Megan Bozeman and Devin Skelley; nine great grandchildren; along with a host of friends.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Courtyard of Natchitoches Assisted Living, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, and CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System - Highland for their kind and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Bethel Congregational Methodist Church, 1316 Union Grove Church Rd, Pleasant Hill, LA 71065.
