Funeral services honoring the life of Ronald “Ronnie” Reagan Chamberlin, were held March 23 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rambin with Father Francis Kamau officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rambin Community.

Ronnie was born July 12, 1956 in Mansfield to John Marshall Chamberlin and Jeanine Rambin Chamberlin and entered into rest on March 21, 2019.

Ronnie worked for Cleco for 30 years and loved his coworkers. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting. Most of all he was a proud grandfather of his first grandbaby, Lil Jack, who loved helping his Paw Paw picking his garden. He never met a stranger and was loved by so many people. He would help anyone in need. He loved the Lord and read his bible daily.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanine Rambin Chamberlin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Diane “DeeDee” Chamberlin of Many; sons, Daniel Kade Chamberlin and wife Tabitha of Stonewall and Adam Blake Chamberlin and wife Ashton of Shreveport; sisters, Cindy Layfield of Castor, and Lisa Chamberlin and companion Lance Spears of Pleasant Hill; brothers, Mark Steven Chamberlin of Rambin, John Michael Chamberlin of Rambin, and Eric Marshall Chamberlin and wife Marie of Baton Rouge; grandson, Jack Eric Chamberlin of Stonewall; and special friend Robbie “Yank” Meshell.

Honoring him as pallbearers were Daniel Kade Chamberlin, Adam Blake Chamberlin, John Michael Chamberlin, Eric Marshall Chamberlin, and Mark Steven Chamberlin. Honorary pallbearers were Robbie “Yank” Meshell, Lee Garrett, Trent Behan, Ty Cobbs, Steve Haug and Brent Mc-Conathy.

Thank you to doctors and staff at MD Anderson Hospital for their care and support for Ronnie during his battle with cancer. A very special thank you to my mother, Rita Severs and my sister, Tammy Severs Wright for all their love and support. You guys were truly a blessing for being there for us. I could not have done this without you both. Also, thanks to Father Francis, Mrs. Shirley Rivers, Robbie “Yank” Meshell, Robin Young and Jennifer McBee for the words of encouragement and the prayers. They were very appreciated!

I will forever love you my Puddin’ Pop!! I know you will look down on us all!! We love you Ronnie!!
