Marilyn Ella Dilley, 74, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Cabrini hospital in Alexandria. She was born December 10, 1943 in Cassville, Missouri to Lena and Loren H. Wallace, both preceded her in death. She married Allen Dilley on August 11 1963 and he preceded her in death in 2006. She was a U.S. Air Force spouse for 20 years and upon retirement she and her husband settled in Hemphill. She served in the VFW Auxiliary in Many for 14 years. She worked for and retired from the hospital in Many. After getting restless at home, she went to work for Hemphill Fuel Stop (Valero), baking cakes and pies and working in the deli. She was a devoted Christian and member of New Hope Baptist Church in Milam, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Pierce of Shreveport; son, Rusty Dilley of Hemphill; and sister, Kay Campbell and husband, Terry of Monett, Missouri. Memorial services were held April 19 at 6 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Milam.
