Funeral services for Joann Skinner Wright, 83, of Florien were held February 11 at Antioch Baptist Church with the Reverends Wilton Anthony, Richard Partridge and John Sparks officiating. Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery. She was born on Thursday, May 24, 1934 in Sabine Parish, and passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018 at her residence in Florien. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reo Wright; son-in-law, Frank Yerby; parents, Roy and Nell Thaxton Skinner; brother, Billy Ray Skinner; sister, Ethel Austin; and nieces, Jill Trainer and JoNelle Austin. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Yerby of Florien; son, Douglas Wright of Shreveport; grandchildren, Christopher and wife, Amy Yerby, of Florien, Jonathan and wife, Kimberly Yerby, of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Matthew Yerby of North Hollywood, California, Jacob Wright and fiancée, Stephanie Dewey, of Milliken, Colorado and Kyle Wright of Shreveport; great grandchildren, Mason and Kaydence Yerby, Troy and Audrey Yerby, Ian, Ethan and Carson Wright; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
