Funeral services for Rev. Winston Perry Lowe, 94, of Many were held January 31, at Many Church of the Nazarene with the Reverends Daniel Lowe, Chuck Fountain, and James Ericson officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery. He was born Saturday, August 25, 1923, in Minden, and he ascended into heaven Sunday, January 28, 2018, at his home in Many. The Rev. Lowe served as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. His pastorates included Pine Island; Blanchard; Willingboro, New Jersey; Marksville; Friendship; Crowley and Natchitoches. After he retired from full-time ministry, he served for several years as associate pastor in Many. He served as treasurer of the Louisiana District Church of the Nazarene for 40 years, and was a member of the Louisiana District Advisory Board for several years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. in Italy and Panama. He was a man who loved God, his family, his church, and his country. His great sense of humor helped him to survive some very tough times in life. He was a loving husband, a fun-loving daddy, and an adoring grandfather and great grandfather who answered to the name of Pappaw Mike. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Eunice Lowe; brothers, Prentiss Lowe, Herbert Lowe, William Lowe, Eldred Lowe, and Terral Lowe; and sisters, Lalia Perryman, Molly Cassells, and Margaret Dodez. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eva Terry Lowe; sons, the Rev. Daniel Lowe and wife, Agatha, of Many, and Roger Lowe of Towson, Maryland; daughters, Jewel Corley and husband, Ed, of Florien, Nancy Lambert and husband, Philip, of Many and Bonnie Fogger and husband, Glen, of Ruston; grandchildren, Danielle Lowe of Robeline; Perry Lowe and fiancée, Emily Pembroke, of Denver, Colorado, Nathan Corley and wife, Whitney, of Denham Springs, Jim Corley and wife, Kaylin, of Woodworth, Jenni Breaux and husband, Kaleb, of MeLissa, Texas, Katie Cook and husband, Brant, of Pineville, Thomas Fogger and wife, Jennifer, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Cassandra Guillot and husband, Brandon, of Bryant, Arkansas, Dr. Steven Fogger of St. Louis, Missouri and Laura Fogger of Birmingham, Alabama; 18 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Serving as pallbearers were Kaleb Breaux, Peyton Brown, Ayden Brown, Brant Cook, Jim Corley, Nathan Corley, and Perry Lowe. The family would like to extend special thanks to Lonnie Rowe, who was a devoted caregiver to Brother Lowe through the last months of his life. The family would also like to extend thanks to the staff of Hospice of Many/Natchitoches, especially Elaine Newton, who always brought special cheer and encouragement with her visits.
