Graveside services celebrating the life of Mary Florence Moore were held on January 24 at Bethsaida Cemetery in Many with Brother Jimmie Price officiating. Mrs. Mary Florence Moore was born on February 19, 1921 to Peter and Mattie Dora Falcon Leone. She entered into rest on January 21, 2018 at the blessed age of 96. Mary was blessed with 11 children who were her pride and joy. Mary always put their needs before hers and was devoted to her husband and family. Her name was Mary Florence, but most knew her as Florence or Sister. She had a green thumb and her flower garden was always beautiful. She made a home in Norfolk, Virginia and returned to Vernon Parish in 1947. She moved back to Sabine Parish in 1950 to Zwolle to live on Russell Road in Bayou Scie Community. Now Mary will rest in Bethsaida Cemetery beside her husband, Willie Moore. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Lawrence Leone; parents; husband, Willie Moore; sons, Willie Eugene Moore, Lawrence Fredrick Moore, and Gerald Moore Sr.; sisters, Susan Leone Sepulvado, Frances Leone Sepulvado; and brothers John Leone, Simon Leone, James Leone, Sevado Leone, and George White. She is survived by her son, David Louis Moore of Zwolle; daughters, Janice Stoker of Rosharon, Texas, Amy Corley and husband, Pete, of Zwolle, Shirley Lowery and husband, Mike, of Joyce, Peggy Groves and husband, Bob, of Zwolle, Alma Ingles and husband, L.C., of Downsville, Edna Johnson and husband, Alen Beard of Zwolle and Margaret Hamilton and husband, C.R., of Ft. Worth, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers honoring her were Adam Corley, Gerald Moore Jr., Bobby Adair, Daniel Lowery, William Lowery and Wayne Stoker. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Bates, Steven Adair, and Tim Meshell.
