Edith Nelwyn Barbier, born in Dess in 1925 passed away on January 13, 2018 of natural causes. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday January 20 with Pastor Paul Randall officiating. Burial will follow at Florien Cemetery in Florien on Sunday January 21. Nelwyn’s selfless love for God and her family was most important to her. She was dedicated to Jesus Christ and loved her church family. We will remember her for her smile, her love to others, and her willingness to always listen to and supply others’ needs. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Walter Mothershed and Ethel Corley Mothershed Stroud; husband, Norman E. Barbier; brother, Alton Mothershed; sister, Maxine Iles; children, Diana and Glen Barbier, daughter-in-law, Susan Barbier; granddaughter Hannah Glass; niece Susan Dixon; and nephew Joel Bolton. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ann Glass and husband, Berkeley; son, Paul Barbier; grandchildren, Jill Moore and husband, Randy, Scott Barbier, Jessica Simmons and husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Ella and Wyatt Moore, Caden, Asher and Harper Simmons; nieces and nephews, Raymond Commander and wife, Connie, Kathy Benkert, Rhonda Orazio and husband, David, Johanna Westermeyer, Lisa Sass and husband, David, Mollie Miller and husband, Ronnie, Harry Iles, Jr. and wife, Patricia, and Tom Bolton and wife, Brenda.
