Funeral services for Lillie Jewel Williams, 84, of Hornbeck were held July 21 at Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck, with Bros. John Northway and Edwin Mc- Cullough officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck. She passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence in Hornbeck. Mrs. Williams was born August 11, 1932 to Robert Steven and Lucy Owers Moore on Peason Ridge. In March of 1987, she retired as a cafeteria manager at Hornbeck High School to come home, and help her husband on the farm. She enjoyed life; anytime you saw her, she had a smile on her face. She loved working in her flowerbeds, and if she wasn’t able to get outside you could find her quilting or painting. Her grandkids were her pride and joys, especially her great granddaughter, Harper. They would sit out on the porch and play with all of Maw Maw’s puppies, and eat jello. She would sit for hours, and listen to her grandson, Cody, playing the piano while she would sing along to some of her favorite hymns. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; brother, Glen Moore, and husband, James “Sam” Williams. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Anthony Williams and wife, Shannon, of Hornbeck, Rodney Williams and wife, Leah, of Hornbeck and Stevie and wife, Kirou, of Mililani, Hawaii; brother, Robert Lee Moore and wife, Gail, of Hornbeck; sister, Linda Greer and husband, Wesley, of Noble; special sisters- in law, Daisy Likes and Shirley Williams; grandchildren, Megan Hillman and Randall of Simpson, Morgan Belsha and Tyler of Hornbeck, Cody Williams and Kraig Dunn of Houston, Texas, Duncan Williams of Westlake, KJ, Yusuke and Stephanie Kile Williams all of Mililani, Hawaii; great-granddaughter, Harper Hillman; soon to be great grandson, Hagen Case Hillman; adopted grandkids, Allie and Kealey Pridgen; and special friends, Coydell and Jeanette Jackson, Larry and Shaunda Pridgen and Jerry and Betty Green.
