Services were held for Eva Elnora Davis, 97, who passed away at home on April 19, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born September 22, 1919 in Barham. She was a loving wife for 65 years to Herman Davis who preceded her in death.She was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Carlton Evans and Bill Rowe; infant grandchildren, Edward and Laura Evans; brothers, Jack Self, Floyd Self, Donnie Self, and Paul Self; sisters, Edna King and Mildred Overmyer; as well as her parents, Edgar and Elsie Self.This wonderful woman was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother and great grandmother. She loved everyone especially her Lord and Savior. Eva left a great legacy for her family and friends. She remained loyal and faithful to the Lord no matter the circumstances. She found strength in God and loved with all her heart.She is survived by her children, Sharon Rowe of Barney, Georgia, Donna Doyle and husband, Mike, of Stokesdale, North Carolina, Gloria Evans of Florien, David Davis and wife, Carolyn, of Many, and Lisa Johnson and husband, Jeff, of Shreveport; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and brother, Pete Self of Jasper, Texas.Her going home celebration was conducted by her great grandson, Davis Howell, of Moultrie, Georgia on April 24 at Warren Meadows Funeral home Chapel in Many. She was laid to rest at Prospect Methodist Cemetery in Florien.Pallbearers were her grandsons, David Rowe, Michael Doyle, Clint Evans, Bryan Davis, Gabriel Chance, and Adrian Gallegos.Honorary Pallbearers were her great grandsons, Ben Sharpe, Matthew Sharpe, Christian Lopez, Mason Lopez, Will Parrish, Jarrett Davis, Trevor Davis, Colton Squillini, Aubrey Evans, and John Michael George.
