Funeral services for Delores Azlea Barber, 79, of Many were held March 23 at Lewing Chapel with the Reverends Donnie Paul Lewing and Joe Hendrickson officiating. Burial followed in the Lewing Chapel Cemetery. She was born on Friday, March 11, 1938 in Sabine Parish and passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Life Care Hospital in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lamar Barber; parents, Lester “Lud” and Gladys Evelyn Manasco Lewing; son, John Gavin Barber; great grandson, Noah Tedder; paternal grandparents, W. B. and Mary Elizabeth Strickland Lewing; and maternal grandparents, David Watson and Leda Manasco. She is survived by her children, Elda Lynn Veuleman and husband, Jerry of Many, Terry Howard Tedder and wife, Pam, of Many, Gary Joe Tedder and wife, Stephanie, of Many, James Gregory Barber and wife, Denise, of Many and Julie Ann Thomas and husband, Terry, of Long Beach, Mississippi; grandchildren, Mike Hayes and wife, Michelle, of Belize, Stephanie Neel of Many, Jeremy Veuleman of Pollock, Tanya McMillian and husband, Bradly, of Florien, Tara Remedies and husband, Kenny, of Many, Chris Tedder and fiancée, Jessica, of Many, Tammy Carmadelle and husband, Freddie, of Many, Elisha Tedder and fiancé Dominque of Many, Joey Tedder and wife, Allison, of Longview, Texas, Matt Tedder and wife, Amanda, of Many, Rick McConnell and wife, Kristen, of Many, Miranda Anderson of Many, Blake Isgitt and wife, Mandy, of Minden and Ian Isgitt of Natchitoches; great grandchildren, Julianne, Layton, Jordyn, Makynzie, Jonathan, Dylan, Breanna, Blaze, Chandler, Brayden, MaKayla, Sommer, Tucker, Hunter, Hynli, baby Harrison, Zane, Gunner, Noah, Rylan, Reid, Kaylee, Kyler, Kolby, Katelyn, Emory, Samuel, Elizabeth, Benton, Gavyn and Gynger; eight great-great grandchildren; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers were Kenny Remedies, Bradly McMillian, Chris Tedder, Rick McConnell, Brad Shahan and Brayden McMillian. Honorary pallbearers were her great grandchildren.
