Funeral services honoring the life of Robert “Bob” Watson Sr. were held March 18 at Rose- Neath Chapel in Many with the Rev. Danny Asbell officiating. Burial followed at Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle. He was born October 16, 1937 in Baton Rouge to Milton Leon Watson and Rosa Lena Martin Watson. He passed away on March 12, 2017 in Mansfield while in the DeSoto Retirement Center at the age of 79. Preceding him in death were his mother and father and his grandson, Jason Watson. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Carmen Yanez Watson; sons, Robert Watson Jr. and wife, Diedra, Melton Watson and wife, Janie, and Matthew Watson and wife, Rachel; daughter, Rita Henderson and husband, John; grandchildren, Charles Watson, Tabitha Henderson, Nicholas Watson, Aaron Henderson, Hunter Adkins, Faith Watson, Silas Watson and Shiloh Watson; brother, Benny Fate Watson; and sisters, Lula Watson Booth and Janice Watson Duffy. Serving as pallbearers were Richard Garcia, Caleb Rivers, Aaron Henderson Nicholas Watson, John Henderson, and Jason Garcia. Serving as Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Atkins, and Silas Watson.
