Funeral services for Marla Lynn Dixon Blackmon, of Anacoco were held February 25 at the Anacoco First Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Cryer Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Marla, the daughter of Cullen and JoAnn Strickland Dixon, was born on May 20, 1968, in Many. She passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in Shreveport. Marla was a loving and faithful wife, mother and Nonny. Her passion in life was to support her husband in the ministry as a Pastor’s wife and to love on her children and grandchildren. She loved to spend time playing with her grandchildren. She was always willing to help anyone in need without even being asked. She is survived by her husband, of 33 years, Bill Blackmon, of Anacoco; children, Candi Marze and Jason of Mansfield, Brandon Blackmon and Jordan of Anacoco, and Casey Blackmon and Teresa of Converse; parents, Cullen and JoAnn Dixon of Anacoco; siblings, Pete Dixon and Cristy of Anacoco and Carla Egan and Todd of Evans; grandchildren, Lezlea, Caden, Wyatt, Taylor, Ayden, Hailey, Evan, Cullen and Ellie and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
