Funeral Services for Yvonne Brown Hawkins, 76, of Many, were held December 10 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wilton Anthony officiating. Burial followed in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Yvonne Brown Hawkins was born on Sunday, May 12, 1940 in Many. She passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Willis Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport. She graduated Many High School in 1958 and received a Bachelor degree from Northwestern University in 1992. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, notary for 54 years, a member of the Sabine Art Guild for 24 years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 171 and worked as a financial director and legal advocate for Project Celebration for 20 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, M. Glenn Hawkins; parents, Wayne and Ida Hopkins Brown; brother, Alan Wayne Brown; grandparents, Saphronia Wheelus Hopkins and R.R. “Bud” Hopkins, and Lutitia Corley and Jessie Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Vonnie Lynn Hawkins and Shawn Cleveland of Baton Rouge, Mary Ida Hawkins and Eve Richard of Nacogdoches, Texas and Lea Ann Hawkins Fisher and Dale Allen Fisher, Jr. of Lena; grandchildren, Lilea Ann Crouch Fisher and Dale “Trip” Allen Fisher III; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
