Funeral services for Janice Kay Laurence, 67, of Florien were held November 22 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Reverends Mike Henderson and Jason Kees officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Janice Kay Laurence was born on Saturday, July 23, 1949 in Pleasant Hill. She passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Willis Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Johnson and Eula Mae Murrell Johnson; brothers, Butch Johnson and Calvin Dean Smith; and sisters, Johnnie Chism and Sandra Ford. She is survived by her husband, Frankie I. Laurence of Florien; sons, Michael Ammons and wife, Sue, of Fordyce, Arkansas and Craig Ammons and wife, Connie, of Bossier City; sisters, Pat Merrill of Shreveport and Suzanne Ford of Many; brother, Jerry Johnson of Many; grandsons, Sean Ammons and wife, Gina, of Blanchard and Jonathan Ammons of Shreveport; great grandchildren, Kailee Ammons of Blanchard and Trent Ammons of Blanchard; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
