Lois Neel

Funeral services for Lois Maxey Neel, 97, of Many were held September 27 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Reverends Hoy Leach, James Ericson and James Guay officiating. Burial followed in the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Lois Maxey Neel was born on Thursday, June 26, 1919 in Many. She passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Many Health Care North in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Blanche Campbell Maxey; husband, Julian C. Neel; grandson, Ryan W. Neel; brothers, Harold, Horace, Cecil, Claude and Infant Ray Maxey; and sisters, Annie, Mildred, Catherine and Infant Hazel. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Neel of Belmont, Donald Neel and wife, Rose, of Florien and Ronald Neel and wife, Diane, of Robeline; daughter, Sarah Neel Colston and husband, Billy, of Many; grandchildren, Shelli Neel Dockens and husband, Donald, Angela Neel Tobey and husband, Jeremy, Kim Neel Leach and husband, Mark, Jonathan Neel and Jessica, Tanya Colston Settle and husband, Tony, Krista Colston Sklar and husband, Paul, April Remedies and Chris, Joey Remedies and wife, Candi, and Paul Remedies and wife, Amanda; great grandchildren, Trevor and Sierra Dockens, Alexi and Logan Free, Hillary Neel Calhoun, Keaton, Kolton and Keely Leach, Jaxon Neel, Connor, Caroline and Carly Settle, Lily Anna, Joseph and Jenna Sklar, Zach and Anna DeYoung, Cody, Lexi, Ashton and Austin DeLoach, Jonathan and Gage Remedies, and J. Paul Remedies; great-great grandchild, Presley Calhoun along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Trevor and Donald Dockens, Tony and Connor Settle, Paul Sklar, Jimmy Baker, and Keaton Leach.
