In an effort to put its “mission in motion” and to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Susan G. Komen North Louisiana is partnering with the Northwestern Louisiana Cancer Center and hosting a free breast cancer screening and community event called Pink Ribbon Pop Up. It will be held at the NWLA Cancer Center, 211 Medical Dr. in Natchitoches on Saturday, October 1 from 9 a.m. – 1 pm.. The public is invited to attend to learn more about breast cancer resources available in Natchitoches Parish. Guest speakers begin at 9:30 a.m. and will feature breast cancer survivor Mable Roberson.
