Bessie Williams

Funeral services honoring the life of Bessie Louise Williams, 84, were held June 22 at Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church in Pleasant Hill with the Rev. Douglas McManus and Jonathan McManus officiating. Burial followed at Bethsaida Cemetery in Many. Bessie was born on September 13, 1931 to William and Alice Lindsey and passed away on June 19, 2016 in Mansfield. Preceding Bessie in death was her husband, M.D. Williams; father, William Lindsey; mother, Alice Lindsey; son, M.W. “Bud” Williams; daughter, Mary Ott, and great granddaughter, Holly Matthews. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Clara Dear of Mansfield; sister, Donnis DeLoach of Shreveport; brothers, Arthur Lindsey and wife Nellie of Coushatta, Bobby Lindsey and wife, Pat, of Elysian Fields, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. Those honoring the life of Bessie Williams as pallbearers were Wayne Rains, Terry, Folden, Bobby Waddle, Cody Hippler, Harold Aldridge, and Anthony Trader. Those honoring were Honorary Pallbearers are Travis “Bubba” Williams, T.J.
