Funeral services for Glen Knippers, 84, of Many, were held June 18 at Many Church of The Nazarene with the Reverends David Hoffpair and Daniel Lowe officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery. Glen was born on Wednesday, March 23, 1932 in Robeline. He passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Courtyard Nursing Home in Natchitoches. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Franklin Knippers and Thelma Lee Stewart Knippers. He is survived by his wife, Lela J. Knippers of Many; son, Glen Dale Knippers of Many; daughter, Lela Gail Greer and husband, Robert B. Greer, Jr. of Many; daughter, Sherri D. Knippers and fiancé, Coy Thompson, of Lafayette; sister, Judy House of Many; brother, Gerald Knippers and wife, Cela Knippers, of Many; grandchildren, Eric Knippers of Many, Jacob McLendon and wife, D. J., of Alexandria, Erin Wilson and husband, Casey, of Utica, Kentucky, Andy Knippers and wife, Ashley, of Many, Ashlyn Savell of Lafayette, and Acie Savell of Lafayette; three great grandchildren, Justice Knippers, Lela A. Knippers, and Maitlyn Knippers; two step great grandchildren, Ethan and Dagen Knippers; one great-great granddaughter, Presley Erin Savell; one niece; one nephew and a host of cousins and an abundance of friends. Pallbearers were Jacob McLendon, Acie Savell, Andy Knippers, Perry Sattler, Eric Knippers, and Mike Knippers.
