Carolyn Joyce Loyless Cole, 84, of Moss Bluff, LA on Sunday, April 17, 2016 in her residence. Mrs. Cole was born October 13, 1931 in Arlington, Georgia, attended Haynes County Junior College and served her country in the U.S. Air Force for four years. She lived in various locations, including the Lake Charles/Lafayette areas and resided at Toledo Bend for 15 years before moving to Moss Bluff recently. Mrs. Cole was a past member of Aimwell Baptist Church, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher and with the women’s prayer group. Mrs. Cole enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, cooking, and canning, but her true passion in life was for her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her “Morning Drinkers” coffee club at the lake. Mrs. Cole is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, James Robert Cole, Sr.; daughters, Barbara “Babs” Cole of Zwolle, Stacey McAuliffe and husband, Mike, of Henderson, Texas, Melissa “Missy” Gilmer and husband, Jerry, of Zwolle, Pam Floyd and husband, Steve, of Moss Bluff and Michelle Cole of Austin, Texas; brother, Bobby Loyless of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her son, James Robert “Bobby” Cole, Jr. and her parents, Robert and Hattie Loyless. Her funeral service was held April 21 at the Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil Carpenter officiated. Private burial was at Jarrett Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas.
