Funeral services for Tony “Burk” Funderburk, 55, of Florien were held on Tuesday, March 1 at Antioch Baptist Church with the Reverends John Sparks, Wilton Anthony, Wayne Chance, and Jimmy Evans officiating. Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation began on February 29 at Antioch Baptist Church. Tony “Burk” Garland Funderburk was born on Wednesday, May 4, 1960 in Many. He passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at his residence in Florien. His brother, Richie Funderburk, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Iwona Funderburk of Florien; son, Brandon Funderburk and , April Rivers, of Florien; daughter, Brantnee’ Sparks and husband, Adam, of Florien; parents, Fredie and Dean Funderburk of Many; sister, Lynda Brooks and husband, Edward, of Florien; grandchildren, Marleigh Sparks, Adnee’ Sparks, Trulee’ Sparks, and Madi Funderburk; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers were Ryan Anthony, Trent Anthony, Tim Anthony, Thomas Anthony, and Blain Landry. Honorary Pallbearers were Brian Miller, Scott Miller, Wade Funderburk, Dave Funderburk, Aaron Mitchell, Lamar Mitchell, Chris Funderburk, Charlie Funderburk, Bean Brown, Eddie Speight, Ricky Lewing, Jason Funderburk, John Dailey, Michael Wayne Anthony.
