    Melvin Glen Jordan, 56, of Woodville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at his residence. Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 23 until the time of service at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery near Woodville. Officiating was  Pastor Hazel Rumby. Melvin was born April 12, 1959, to Melvin and Gladys Ray Jordan in Urania. He was a former resident of Many and had lived in Woodville for the past two years. He was retired from Sabine Parish Police Jury. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Jordan, and brother, Eli Jordan. He is survived by his daughters, Glenda McComic and husband, Tony, of Many; mother, Gladys Veeder of Woodville; brother, Jerry Jordan and wife, Sheila, of Zwolle; sister, Pam Rankin and husband, Charles, of Overton; grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Haley Smith, Blaine McComic, Blake Mc-Comic, Brittney Yates, Nicole Yates, Elijah Kyzar, and Christopher Malmay; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Bell, David Witherspoon, Chuck Rankin, Cliff Kyzar, Kurt Merritt, and Donald Carroll
