Funeral Services for Floyd LaWayne Sanders, 63, of Fisher were held on Monday, February 29 at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. James Hickman officiating. Burial followed in the Fisher Cemetery. Visitation began on February 28 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Floyd LaWayne Sanders was born on Friday, May 23, 1952, in Many. He passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at his residence in Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gladys Jones Sanders; two sisters, Shirley Rodrigues and Ruth Lester; and brother, Doug Lewing. He is survived by his wife Judith Sanders of Fisher; daughter, Mary Russell and husband, Bobbye Jr., of Many; son, Randy LaWayne Sanders and wife Debra of Fisher; sisters, Myra Bass and husband, Gary, of Many and Faye Merritt and husband Lane of Many; brother, Rodney Sanders and wife, Paula, of Hornbeck; eight grandchildren, Chris, Tory and Joseph Rainer, CeCe, Chelsea, Wolton, Connor and Carson Sanders; four great-grandchildren, Kayla Rainer, Kyrie Turner, Coby Alsup and Brylee Howel; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Chris Rainer, Tory Rainer, Joseph Rainer, Bobbye Russell, Jr., Josh Webb and James “Bubba” Beason. Honorary Pallbearers were be Colton Sanders, Connor Sanders, Carson Sanders and Randy Sanders.
