Ralph Everett Williams, 92, of Hornbeck, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2015. He was born on October 18, 1923 in Rusk, Texas to Annie May Franklin Williams and Johnny Croson Williams. His parents moved him and his four siblings to Pearland, Texas when he was a young boy. His dedicated work ethic started at a young age when he would help his father on the ranch. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was employed in many management roles with the Department of Defense before he made a career as a pipefitter in the construction industry in the Houston area. In 1972 he moved his family to Hornbeck. Ralph was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Right and a member of the Shriners. After retirement he enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Janie O’Nell Williams; son, Dexter Williams and brothers, Wesley Williams, Elton Williams and J.H. “Hap” Williams. He is survived by his wife, Carol Snapp; sons, Randy Williams and wife, Nanette, and Ralph Edward Williams; daughter, Bonnie Brochhausen and husband, Kurt; grandchildren, Shannon Widner and husband, Bradley, Kristofer Brochhausen and wife, Leslie, Tara Mayton and husband, Robert, Paige Kee and husband, Christopher, and Alexa Brochhausen Little and husband, Christopher; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, J.D., Bailey, Blake, Elizabeth, Addison and Audrey; sister, Maggie Zelko; stepson, Claude “Snapper” Snapp and wife, Sarah, and daughter, Elizabeth as well as a host of family and friends. The funeral service was conducted at December 1 at Oak Grove Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Pastor John Northway and Brother Clyde Snider officiating.
