Aug. 7 was a momentous day for Toledo Bend and saw a huge celebration of being named the number one bass fishing lake in the country by BassMaster Magazine during an event held at Cypress Bend.BassMaster Magazine Edi-tor James Hall was on hand to present the award. However, before he spoke and presented the award while announcing another BassMaster Elite tour-nament for next year, a presentation told the history of the lake from its origins to now.
