    Funeral Services for Alma Jean Glaspie, 78, of Robeline, were held Aug. 19, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with Bro. Jesse Arnold officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Ward 2 Cemetery in Toro. Alma Jean Glaspie was born on Monday, Jan. 18, 1937 in Marthaville. She passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, 2015 at Many Health Care North in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and Effie Shoemaker Downs; husband, David Glaspie; son, Gary Glaspie; brother, Paul Downs and sisters, Alice Durr, Retha Lauw and Jenelle Berly. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Purcell of North Bend, Washington; stepdaughters, Mary Jernigan of Anacoco, Linda Ellis of Merryville, Sarah Peterson of Rosepine and Kathy Glaspie of Jackson, Mississippi; stepson, David Glaspie of Anacoco; sister, Lela Durr of Marthaville; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were David Stone, Eddie Miller, Greg Lantier, Velvin Stone, William Hall and Willie Stewart. Honorary Pallbearers were James Allen Glaspie and Ken Crowe. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.warrenmeadows.com
