Funeral services for Victor Lee Anders, 78, of Robeline, were held on Aug. 12 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Robeline, with the Reverends Brian Adamson and Truman Leach officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Robeline. Victor Lee Anders was born on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1936 in Sabine Parish. He passed away on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015 at Many Health Care North in Many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Susie Russell Anders; sons, Ronald Charles Anders and Joseph Victor Anders; step-daughter, Denise Durley and step-sons, Tracy Arron Durley and Horace Jefferson Durley, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Liz Anders of Robeline; daughters, Cathy Martin and Dorothy Khan both of Longview, Texas; sisters, Eloise Potter of Many, Peggy Anders Sneed of Many and Sandra Anders Stewart of Florien; brothers, James “Sap” Anders and Earl Anders, both of Many; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
