The annual Sabine Parish Backto- School Rally was very successful on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Fairgrounds, according to Many Gore of the Toledo Bend Ministries. Gore and her team of committee members, including Elyda Thaxton, the Rev. Harry Babers, the Rev. Elaine Burleigh, Lisa Henderson, Virginia Burkett and Donna Smith Ammons worked to make this the best ever. They were pleased with Saturday’s results. “We distributed 275 bags of school supplies to students in grades Pre-K through high school,” she said. “We had a new routine to follow and it seemed to work out well.”
