Funeral services for Malcolm L. Cole, 75, of Hornbeck, were held June 10, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Leach officiating. Burial followed in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Malcolm, the son of Lewis and Fourthie Jones Cole, was born Nov. 8, 1939 in Plainview. He passed away at his residence in Hornbeck,  Saturday, June 6, 2015. Malcolm retired as a Lieutenant from the Louisiana State Police after 26 years. He then worked at the Used Car Commission for 5 year and for the past 12 years he has worked for Cubic at Fort Polk. He also served in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry and Lavell Cole and sister, Janis Fletcher. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janice Cole of Hornbeck; sons, Waylon and wife, Angel Cole, of Moss Bluff and Stacy, and wife Monica Cole, of Hornbeck; grandchildren, Madisyn Cole, Makayla Cole and Mackie Cole; mother-inlaw, Agnes Brown of Hornbeck; brother-in-law, Rosezell Fletcher of Hornbeck; sister-in-laws, Glenda Cole of Florien, Carolyn Cole of Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Linda  ilton of Hornbeck and a host of nephews and nieces. Malcolm’s family has requested that Memorial donations be made to the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 185, Hornbeck, LA 71439.
