    James Allen Crone, 68, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the North Missis-sippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, after an extended illness. Born in Many on August 13, 1946 to Leonard Allen Crone and Dorthea Sunshine Kimbrell Crone, James “Doc” grew up in Zwolle where he graduated from Zwolle High School with the class of 1964.He attended Northwestern State University prior to joining the United States Navy. James retired as a Petty Officer First Class after 26 years of active duty. He also served as a combat medic for the United States Ma-rine Corps for 16 years.A memorial service honoring James’ life was held at Toledo Bend Lake, Zwolle on May 25.James is survived by his daughter, Tammy Crone Tolbert, and husband, Stephen of Leav-enworth, Kansas; grandsons, Sean and Michael Tolbert of Leavenworth, Kansas; brother, Robert L Crone of Tupelo, Mis-sissippi; sister, Debra Ann Crone Jones, and husband, Dennis, of Diamondhead, Mississippi and many beloved nieces and neph-ews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Allen and Dorthea Sunshine Crone.Anchors away, Jim.Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuner-alhome.com
