Services for Bethel Alice Hippler, 90, of East Mountain, Texas were held at the Spring Hill Assembly of God on March 28 with the Reverends Ronnie Shipman, Carl London and Bob Thompson officiating. The interment followed at Pendleton Cemetery Sabine Parish. Mrs. Hippler stepped into her Savior’s arms on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Services were under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.Bethel was born to Owen Johnson and Amanda Bass Johnson in Many on March 8, 1925. She devoted her life to serving the Lord, her fam-ily and those in need. She was known as a master gardener who shared produce and flowers with everyone. She was a homemaker, professional seamstress, wonderful cook and a member of the Spring Hill Assembly of God Church. She was married to Don Hippler and they were residents of the East Mountain community near Longview, Texas. Mrs. Hippler is survived by her children, Clenton and Jimmie Hippler, Ann and De-wayne Jenkins, Donna and Ronnie Shipman, Mable and Bob Thompson, Jane and David Shipman, Jeorgia and Sam LaBarbera, Peggy and Carl London, and Don Hip-pler; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.Bethel Alice is preceded in death by her parents; her hus-band; brothers, Willard Paul Johnson and Euell Johnson and sisters, Clara Lee Cain and Beatrice Conn.The grandchildren served as pallbearers.Online condolences may be left at www.croleyfh.net
