Joe R. Salter named 18th Sabine Hall of Fame inductee

Joe R. Salter, former Sabine Parish legislator with the La. House of Representatives and the 62nd Speaker of the House (2004- 2008) has been named the 18th inductee to the Sabine Hall of Fame, according to Chairman Pete Abington. Salter will be honored on Tuesday, March 31 at the Many VFW Hall. Doors will open at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the program at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at Mid- South Bank, Pete Abington’s Office and from any Sabine Hall of Fame board member, including Abington, Garland Anthony, Donna Smith Ammons, Nell Britner, Jimmy Collier, Floyd Giblin, Tammy Mangum, Sheriff Ronny Richardson, William Ruffin and AnitaThedford.
