It is with great sadness the family of Suzie Layfield Jacks announces her passing after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at the age of 56. Suzie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Buck Jacks; mother, Bonnie Randolph Layfield; sister, Brenda Shanley and husband, Jim and brothers, Tim Layfield and wife, Debbie, and Randy Layfield and wife, LaWana. Suzie was preceded in death by father, Travis Earl Layfield and aunt, Myrtle Randolph. Services were held at Pendleton Assembly of God Church of Many on Saturday, Dec. 20, officiated by the Rev. Daniel Davis. Interment was located at Randolph Cemetery in Many. Serving as pallbearers were J.D. Hill, Tim Layfield, Timmy Layfeild, Randy Layfield, Heath Lemmons and Michael Shanley. Suzie was an animal lover  and lovingly cared for animals, including her monkeys, horses and dogs. Suzie gave back to her community in so many ways. She was actively involed with the 4-H Youth program of Sabine County for many years; lending a helping hand and supporting Horsemanship to youth involved in Horse/Riders Competitions. Before her health issues,Suzie and her beloved horse, Sonny, won numerous titles and awards. Suzie will be remembered by all that knew her for her smile, spunk and love for glitz and glitter. Her favorite quote, “Do I have anything you need?” will leave a legacy of caring for all whom she touched. Suzie faced her battle withcourage and determination.Comfort for her friends and family can be found in the verse, “For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departureis at hand. I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course. I have kept the faith; henceforth,there is laid up for me a crownfor rightesouness, which theLord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also the love his appearing.” II Timothy 4:6-8.
