Funeral Services for Carolyn Judy Alford, 67, of Florien, were held on Monday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. at Plainview Baptist Church with the Reverends D.R. Davis, Tim Leach and J.D. Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Plainview Cemetery. Carolyn Judy Alford was born on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1947 in Pleasant Hill. She passed away on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Inez Miller Davis; daughter, Dorothy Laurence; daughterin- law, Shelly Alford and sister, Mary K. Lynn. She is survived by her husband, Raymon Alford of Florien; son, Robby Laurence of Hornbeck; daughter, Cheryl Pollock and husband, Paul, of Florien; sons Billy Alford of Florien, Kenneth Alford of Florien and Ray Alford of Florien; daughter, Phyllis Jeansonne and husband, Anthony, of Florien; sister, Vanita Marshal of Savoy, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
