All are invited to the upcoming Converse Christmas Parade and Festival, which will be held on November 28-29.
Everything begins on Friday, November 28 at 6:30 p.m. with the Christmas tree lighting event. The town will serve hot cocoa and cookies. Following the lighting, the Converse Christmas Committee will hold their first ever firework show before everyone congregates at the Dixie Youth fields to watch Home Alone with popcorn and drinks. Bringing lawn chairs and blankets is encouraged.
Events kick off early on November 29 with a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at the Council on Aging. The parade, featuring Grand Marshal Larry Bagley, rolls at 11 a.m. Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus follow at the Dixie Youth fields, along with the rest of the festival at field 2.
Should it be raining, festivities will be held at the old gym.
