Gary Chester Curtis, 70, died in his home on Toledo Bend Lake on the morning of Oct. 10, 2014. He was born in Owosso, Mich., to Chester and Hattie Marie Homola Curtis. Before retiring, Gary worked at Cook’s Auto Salvage in Many, where he was known as “Screwdriver.” He had lived in Many, but had recently moved to the Texas side of Toledo Bend Lake. He is survived by his companion of 37 years, Charlene Baker of Toledo Bend; son, Steven Baker and wife, Paula of Toledo Bend; sisters, Betty Church of Cadillac, Mich. and Sharon Forman of Prudenville, Mich.; grandchildren, Erika, Lauren, Skylar, and Kylie and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill Curtis.
