Funeral services honoring the life of William Richard Hubbard, 76, were held Oct. 16 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Oak Grove, with the Rev. Ronnie Sandifer officiating. Burial followed at Noble Cemetery in Noble. William Richard was born in Snyder, Texas to Jess and Nina Horton Hubbard and passed away in Shreveport. He loved spending time with his family, which was the light of his life. Preceding William Richard in death were his parents, Jess and Nina Horton Hubbard; daughter, Justina Grace Hubbard; sister, Betty Dawson; and brothers, F. L. Hubbard and Ronald Hubbard. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, William “JoJo” Hubbard and Don Hubbard and wife, Shawna; daughters, Debra Johnson and husband, Sidney, and Tonia Cates and husband, Dennis; sisters, Geraldine Woodell and husband, Dub, and Joyce Ann Honeycutt and husband, Garland; brother, Don Hubbard and wife, Joyce; grandchildren, Chris Hubbard and wife, Brandi, Andrew Hubbard and wife, Lydia, Justina Salassi, and husband, Brent, Elizabeth Hubbard, Teresa Blackmon and husband, Casey, Sharon Boothe and husband, Brian, Kylie Johnson, Luke Johnson and Cade Hubbard; great-grandchildren, Gabe Salassi, Julian Salassi, Adelaide Hubbard, Micaiah Hubbard, and Ella Boothe; and a host of nieces and nephews. Those honoring the life of William as pallbearers were Dennis Cates, Sid Johnson, Chris Hubbard, Andrew Hubbard, Casey Blackmon, Brent Salassi, Brian Boothe and William “JoJo” Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Johnson and Cade Hubbard.
