Funeral services for Steve Jenkins, 67, of Robeline, were held on, Sept. 27 beginning at 1 p.m. at Holly Grove Nazarene Church in Robeline with the Rev. Scott Howell officiating. Burial followed in the Rocky Mount Cemetery in Robeline. Steve Jenkins was born on Sept. 4, 1947 in Natchitoches. He passed away on Sept. 25, 2014 at Sabine Medical Center in Many.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.J. Jenkins; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Sligh Dillard. He is survived by his mother, Geneva Dillard Jenkins of Robeline; sisters, Nell Wilson and husband, Mike, of Robeline; LaDonna Chesson and husband, Joe, of Robeline and Dajunna Howell and husband, Scott, of West Monroe; brother, Johnny Jenkins and wife, Cindy, of Robeline; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Buzz Jenkins, Josh Jenkins, Chris Kay, Joe Reuben Chesson, Elliot Chesson and Chris Comeaux.
