Funeral services for Ezra Young, 80, of Many, were held on Thursday, Sept. 11 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with his grandson, the Rev. Robert Gibbo and the Rev. Daniel Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Pendleton Cemetery in Many. Ezra Young was born on Thursday, July 12, 1934 in Mittie. He passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at Sabine Medical Center in Many. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Adelia Bailey Young; two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Lurline Young of Many; two sons, Ezra Shane Young of Lake Charles and Clay Walker Young of Many; four daughters, La- Donna Gibbo of Timpson, Texas, DeJuana Renteria of New Caney, Texas; Narda Weekes of Houston, Texas and Carla Young of Many; eight sisters; two brothers; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
