Emily Ford Nelson is the recipient of the Young Achiever Award for the 2024 Many Christmas Parade. She is the owner of Bud’s Hat Bar. Bud’s Hat Bar is geared to all ages allowing women and children the unique opportunity to customize trucker hats and the newest addition, denim jackets.
Her business platform first started as a side business in March this year. Emily had no idea how big of a hit the hat bar would be and she completed 17 events in 16 weekends through spring and summer. Emily then established a storefront in Many in September; merely six months after initiating her pop-up venture. Emily has brought a new trend to the community that offers an exceptional experience beyond aesthetics.
Emily is a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish, where she attended Many High School before furthering her education at Northwestern State University. She currently works full-time at the Sabine Assessor’s office in Many and operates Bud’s Hat Bar in her spare time.
