Funeral services for Ethel Desadier Fredieu were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 11 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, with Father Ryan Humphries officiating. Interment followed at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family received friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 6:30 p.m. on July 10 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Ethel Fredieu, 97, passed away July 7, 2014. Ethel was born June 18, 1917 in Trichell, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always had a great outlook on life, had a wonderful personality, and would light up the room whenever she entered. She had a comical disposition, and made everyone laugh when she was around. She was a longtime member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Montgomery. She enjoyed quilting in her pastime, was always friendly, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was survived by her son, Wesley Fredieu and wife, Patsy, of Many; her grandchildren, Todd Fredieu of Many; Carey Fredieu
and wife, Dundee, of Many; Deanna Fredieu of Florien; Joe Fredieu of Montgomery; Renita Fredieu Gongre of Montgomery; and Robert Fredieu of Montgomery; 13 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and her daughterin- law, Margie Weaver Fredieu, of Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.D. Fredieu; her
parents, Wallace Desadier and Julia Schmuck Desadier; her son, Joseph Ray Fredieu; her sisters, Ann Merrell and Sarah Gongre; and her brothers, Clyde Desadier, Buck Desadier, and Robert Ray Desadier.
