    Funeral services for Ella Fay Mitchell, 74, of Fisher were held on Monday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Church of God with Bro. James Hickman and Bro. Brooks Coburn officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knot Cemetery. Visitation was hosted on Sunday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Church of God. Ella Fay Mitchell was born on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1939 in Port Arthur, TX. She passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 in Fisher. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Phillip Beason and Gene W. Mitchell; parents, Holton and Merice Corn Whorton; one grandson, James Andrew Beason; her sister, Thelma Jane Isam; and two brothers, Hollis Whorton and Virgil Whorton. She is survived by her children, Wendy Berry of Sulfur, Mertice Hershberger and husband, Tommy of Fisher, Bubba Beason and wife, Joy of Florien, and Earnest Mitchell and wife, Crystal of Many; a special nephew, Andy Willis and wife, Wanda of Lufkin, TX., 10 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
