Cindy Hogan-Edgar of Hemphill, Texas, turned herself in to Sabine County authorities on Monday, November 6 after warrants were issued for hindering apprehension or prosecution of a known felon.
She is the mother of Matthew Edgar, who went on the run from justice during his trial for the murder of Livye Lewis in 2022. He was captured in December 2022 after months of avoiding the law. Cindy Hogan-Edgar is alleged to have helped him during his time as a fugitive after being indicted by a grand jury on October 25. The crime is alleged to have occurred on December 28, 2022.
She has since been released on a $20,000 bond.
