B.A.S.S. Executive Director of Tournaments says, “We are so excited about this new format. That excitement, plus the great fisheries we have on our schedule, will make 2023 so much fun for anglers and fans of the sport.”

With great fishing and well-designed facilities, Toledo Bend attracts approximately 100 regional and national fishing tournaments every year. Toledo Bend has hosted major B.A.S.S. events 16 times, including most recently the 2019 Central Open that was won by current Elite Series pro Darold Gleason of Many, Louisiana. Toledo Bend was the first fishery to ever rank No. 1 two years in a row on Bassmaster Magazine’s 100 Best Bass Lakes list, in 2015 and 2016. It ranked fifth in the Central Division in 2022.

The event is planned with the entire family in mind. There will be vendors with fair-styled funnel cakes and lemonade, sno-cone stands, and delicious food trucks so no one goes hungry.

The Sabine River Authority (SRA) of Louisiana is making this fun, family event free to the public. The event is hosted by the Sabine Parish Tourist Commission, the Louisiana Office of Tourism, Desoto Parish Tourist Bureau, Vernon Parish Tourist Commission, and Cypress Bend Resort.
